July 2023 at Maggie's Toronto: Our Program & Event Schedule!

We've got LOTS going on this month as we open our new space to community across Toronto and the GTA! We've moved to a larger, more central location just outside of the Eaton Center to offer a larger, more central, multi-purpose space for community! 1. Harm Reduction Supplies (Pick Up & Toronto-Based Delivery Options!)

Stop by our new space for harm reduction supplies (call 416-964-0150 for location details or connect with Tamar@Maggiesto.org!) or for Toronto-based community members we offer a delivery service with The Bike Brigade to get harm reduction supplies right to your doorstep! 2. July 6th - 2:30pm/EST: Sex Worker Parenting Program Presents: "Raising Neurodivergent Youth"


This Thursday July 6, join us from 2:30-4:30pm for a workshop on Supporting Neurodivergent Children. We will be learning tools & resources to better set them up for success - without trying to change them.


Join us for this workshop in our brand new community room in our brand new offices We have comfy couches, drinks & snacks!

3. July 7th - 8:00pm/EST: Meet & Greet + Skillshare for Online SWs. On July 7, we’re hosting a meet and greet for online SWs to connect, learn from one another and connect in our new community space. July 11th - 8:00pm/EST: Move Night (CAM!) and Discussion re: Identity Theft On July 11th we're hosting a film night + discussion about online identity theft with a focus on how to deal with people who steal your images and use them to scam others online. 5. July 12th - 5:00pm/EST: Post Pride Sex Worker Testing Blitz!

On Wednesday, July 12th at HQ (790 Bay St., #820) between 5-7pm we're teaming up with The AIDS Committee of Toronto and TOMQ for a 'Post-Pride Sex Worker's Testing Blitz'! We know Pride is often a busy time for gay, bi, trans, queer male-identified sex workers. Therefore, we wanted to create a reminder, and an opportunity, for them to access a range of free holistic and culturally relevant health and wellness services, including STBBI testing :)

July 13th - 11:00am/EST: Harm Reduction Kit Making Group On Thursday, July 13th from 11 - 1pm our Street Outreach Program Manager Monica Forrester will host a kit making group - come through to help us build kits, connect with community & see our new space! Gift cards offered, space limited- connect with monica@maggiesto.org for more information and location details. 7. July 19th - 6:00pm/EST: Film Night (POSE!)

As we re-open to Toronto sex workers, we'll also be looking to connect, expand our programs/services and engage community to ensure we're hitting the mark with our work! Connect with us at info@maggiesto.org or by phone at 416-964-0150 Monday - Friday from 9am through 5pm. We have an amazing multi-purpose space in the heart of the city and would love to work with community to ensure folks are able to attend, host and help structure the programming, meet-ups and workshops that address pressing issues/concerns and create space to connect! For SWs in school looking for placement or volunteer opportunities, and community members needing volunteer credit for legal purposes, we'd love to hear from you!
